Project Overview
UNIVERSAL FOOD PUBLIC COMPANY LIMITED (UFC) is one of Thailand’s leading processor, manufacturer and distributor of processed fruits and vegetables, beverages and sauce and seasoning. As a result of Thailand’s position as a major producer of agricultural products for the world market, UFC was formed in October 1969 to invest its business in fruits and vegetable development. With this commitment, UFC creates much-needed jobs in rural communities. It is a subsidiary of Lam Soon (Thailand) Public Co. Ltd. UFC operates two factories and relies on these assets to serve its domestic and international clients.

UFC has always placed quality first. UFC aims to consistently advance and improve its production process so that it can deliver safe and high quality products to their consumers. It will continue to innovate with new products in a sustainable manner. 
My Contributions
STRENGTH

In 2016, UFC Refresh Coconut Water was the number 1 brand in Singapore, according to Nielsen Singapore Market Track value sales for coconut flavoured Asian drinks category. 

UFC Refresh Coconut Water was the 1st product from Thailand that gained top recognition of 2 golden stars award back in 2015.By keeping high standard of refreshingly good taste, it was also awarded in 2018, and once again in 2020.

UFC provides job opportunities for the community in rural areas. They value social harmony and treat their farmers as family.  Provide ongoing training to help staff improve. UFCI prioritises raw material quality and freshness before it moves on to factory production. The factory utilises advanced technology and environmentally friendly fuels. Both factories also use solar energy as part of our continuous efforts to contribute towards sustainability. 

One of the secrets to UFC Coconut Water’s delicious taste is that it comes from coconut plantations in Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon, Nakhon Pathom and Ratchaburi, which all have high salinity waters. UFC released its ‘UFC Refreshed 100% Coconut Water’ product in 2012. 
In 2013, UFC used the latest Tetra Pack lines to package coconut water. 100% Coconut water is a healthy, natural rehydration drink full of electrolytes and does not contain any sugar or additives. 
The beverage is available in Asia, South East Asia, the Americas, North America, and Europe. Australia, New Zealand and many other countries. • As a healthy beverage, the drink supports today’s healthy lifestyle, which is becoming more popular as people become more health conscious. 


The International Taste & Quality Institute (iTQi) from Brussels, Belgium awarded UFC Refresh Coconut water three “Superior Taste Award” in 2020. This is a high distinction award equivalent to the Michelin quality standards. • It made Thai people proud to see a Thai brand, UFC Refresh Coconut Water, reach an international level. • According to Nielsen Singapore Market Track value sales for the coconut-flavoured Asian drinks category MAT June 2016, UFC Refresh Coconut Water was Singapore’s number 1 brand.

The best-tasting coconut water in Singapore (Chenyze and AJ Lee, 2021) • UFC Refresh Coconut water is ranked 3rd out of 10th position • On Singapore Airlines, UFC Refresh Coconut Water (500 ML) will once again be available onboard in First Class and Suites from May 2018. It is served on routes from Singapore to London, Frankfurt, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, Sydney, and Melbourne. (Singapore Airlines Facebook, 2018)
